Do You Love Your Mother? Mothers are Great! Would You Please Help These Sweet Mommies?

Mermaids and Mermen love the idea of Mommies and Daddies.
We don't ever know ours, being fish - we're spawned from chance by millions of eggs and sperm being releaesd into the water and then our eggs collect on strands of seaweed.
To have a mommy is a great thing. To be born of her body, to be nurtured, nursed, and to have her loving arms around you mammals as little babies is great.
Will you please help these sweet Mommies today! Just send an email to help them.
They deserve our love.

Pray For WIldlife - Sea Turtles

I, and all the Mers, are extremely worried and distressed about the severe cold visiting even Southern Florida and beyond these days!
The wildlife, of course, along with any pets of people who are so unkind as to force them to live outside, are the ones who need the most help.

Sea Turtles do not have the luxury of burrowing in mud and hibernating, as do their fresh water cousins, when temperatures plumet. Instead, they are at the mercy of the weather, and they actually pass out in shock from the cold, float, or are deposited on the shore, where, when things are just right, they are found by kindly humans and reported to rescue agencies.
See below for rescue contact info.

Naturally, though unseen, we Mers stay underneath and keep Sea Turtles afloat, pushing them gently toward human rescuers so they can be taken to warm places when the water gets too cold, but even we can't be everywhere!

And how to Mers manage to be in cold or hot waters? We, being cold-blooded as are all fish, have a body chemistry that allows for comfortable temperature tolerance, unlike the Sea Turtles and many other beings.

Please read about Sea Turles at the links below, and learn more about these wonderful companions of ours!

And please do what you can, even if it's just praying with a positive attitude and sending your spiritual, soul energy to the Sea Turtles and to all beings who need help especially in this season.

(I personally pray many times every day for God to send help and protection to every being on our fragile, young Planet, Sea, and especially for the most helpless of all - the ones many cruel humans keep confined in unfathomably torturous conditions and raise for meat, which to all of us Mermaids and Mermen and to any compassionate human is only cannibalism.
Please pray for the farm - actually "farmed" animals. A terrible term for a terrible sin against God's innocent, helpless beings.)

Great Idea!

No More Meat! World Day For The Abolition of Meat ! January 31, 2010 !!!

Mark this day and start planning your own area activities and events now!

This is so marvelous ! All The Mers are so into being compassionate to all beings!
Of course, we're vegan too! We love all other animals, so what else could we be?
What about you?
Have you decided yet that Love means Compassion?
And that Compassion is for all living beings?
That all living beings feel, think, love, aspire, and dream, just like you do?
Yes, we're all alike, so let's get healthy, live longer, look great, and stay youthful and lithe, slender, and agile ! How? By being vegan, of course!
Vegans live at least ten years longer than others, and they look much younger, too.

These hip European groups are doing the right thing for all of us, including all humans and all Mers, and all other beings, for the planet itself, for the air, the water, and everything!
Why? Because the horribly cruel meat "industry", (organized cruelty on an unprecedentedly unconscienable level for profit only, since meat is killing humans, making them ill, and shortening their lives ), is also the worst polluter in the world!
Yes, the meat industry pollutes the air and water worse than any other polluter!!!

And even those who eat meat expect that the innocent animals involved will be raised and treated with humane laws and kindness and slaughtered humanely. I wish this was what actually went on. Any kind person will want to add their voices to petitions that aid in bettering their lives and means of death. Visit DActivist for more.

And when we do good, we feel good! Maybe for the first time in your life, when you go vegan, your mind, your beliefs and your soul will be in alignment, in harmony. Being spiritual is being compassionate. Compassion is the basis of all world religions, after all, and our bodies were meant to eat plant foods. Visit Go Veg for more on this.
So give your soul a gift and visit No More Meat, get some of their materials and start your own local event now for January 31, 2010, and let's start this new year right!

Winter Solstice

It's now, today, December 21st, the last day of Autumn, and at midnight, it will become the first day of Winter.
The shortest day of the year, today, earlier, seemed like it to me, the daylight angling through the water straight down, then twisted around, then mirrored, then shooting out in sheets, as usual, but not quite enough of it, it felt.
Not enough light.
I prefer to haunt the Southern Hemisphere this time of year, to enjoy their opposite seasons, but I find myself here in the Northern one for awhile, yearning for the Sun.
Some things have occurred lately to remind me of the ever present, ongoingness of time, and of continuous change. I've lost someone dear to me. And in the losing, I've been immersed in memories of the past, of a past that, although Mers do not age nearly as much as do land beings, like humans, cannot be repeated.
We, too, are finite organisms.
Unlike humans, we Mers accept the way Nature made us, and do not, nor would we, have scientists whose aim is to find ways either to extend life or to disguise age.
Individuals are all so very unique - and so very irreplaceable, and unforgettable.
I find, as do so many souls in this time of year, when holidays loom and joviality mingles with regret and when we so richly mourn the ones who used to spend them with us, and now cannot, that this otherwise joyous time is rather melancholy.
So much more so now, though, since one I had loved has left this plane.
Spirituality extends throughout the animal kingdom - oh, yes, it is by no means only humans who are spiritual - all beings, great and small, have thoughts and feelings of God - and only the Presence can assuage such sadness.
Send some love to everyone around you, strangers included, since sorrow is perhaps more a sign of this season than is joy, for most...

Don't we all insist on kind treatment of the helpless? Demand more from our government. Sign -http://bit.ly/3ELo2v

The nature of compassion.
Why is it that "small men's complex" seems to have amplified among those who erroneously link cruelty with some sort of strength?
It's completely perverting the meaning of what being "manly" is, and yet the weak and simple-minded have somehow absorbed the corporate imperatives forced upon audiences by money-grubbing institutions who want to: split families in order to make sure that individuals are miserable. Why? Because miserable, empty, lonely people buy more gadgets, drink more alcohol, smoke more cigarettes, and cause more destruction, once again, meaning more sales.
Add to that medical drugs to stave off their depression, deprived of any meaningful relationships in life, these dejected and less-than-savvy consumers indulge in even post-adolescent male bonding that should have been left behind in junior high.
So, while the women and children are contained and constrained in the straight-jacket ideals of being stalwart, responsible, and essentially holding the bag while the men who would be boys hang out and play, the societal views perpetuated by the uncaring forces of marketplace propaganda lean toward the view that in order to have "fun", one must poke fun at weaker people, make fools of the opposite sex and view them as prey to "bag" and to use, and treat every helpless and needy being with anything but compassion.
To be strong, in reality, means to be kind to weaker beings, and bullying constitutes bad behavior toward someone smaller than oneself.
Once upon a time, anyone being cruel to a smaller or weaker or less able being, whether one's wife, child, or a member of another specie, would have been deemed a very low - and very unmanly specimen.
When did this - cruelty - become a source of sport for the demented?
It's easy to trace through the degeneration of TV shows, for instance, and in the downfall of spiritual strongholds like churches and schools, but how can we turn this around?
Stiffer laws against bullies and psychopaths, obviously, but careful monitoring of childrens' viewing habits would help.
And the widespread opening up of a dialogue on the subject - creating venues in which men can learn that the actual position of machoism is, and always has been, to protect the innocents and the weak.
As a Mer, I cannot fathom how some of your males, and even some of your females, have been manipulated into this type of stance.
Regardless whether someone eats meat or not, I'm very sure that all humans want and demand that innocent babies be treated kindly, no matter what the specie.
Please, for all of us - sign this and make sure these cruel people are prosecuted and the humane laws are upheld.
After all, cruelty to one weaker soul will always become cruelty to human children as well.

Please Protect Infants and Innocent Babies Now

Please, all of you humans - please for us Mers who love and care about every being in the world - take a moment of your time and push this link to send a letter to protect innocent babies - just tiny infants who have only your voices to help them!
Thank you from all the Mers!
