I'm adding this gorgeous black and white music video on love addiction by the human I transmit info to because it haunted me. I admit that while I don't really have a problem with being addicted to mermen, or to one in particular, I am involved in a relationship as I'd mentioned earlier, with a very difficult merman. 
This subject brings up the intricacies of all relationships.
We all have issues, varying in degrees, with our live-ins, especially if we're not really into them, the way I feel at this point about the merman who constantly pursues me.
In the video, the girl is obsessively pursued by the guy in the band who feels he owns her, while she goes out and tries to be free.
This is sort of what I am going through, except I'm not at all interested in going out with other mermen now - he'd follow me!
Anyway, the idea of being stuck on anyone or anything so that we get fixated on whatever the being or substance is is really outside my sphere.
I see it all around me, and it's not easy for those who suffer with these afflictions - addictions - but it's ALSO really difficult to be the object of obsession by someone who's addicted to you!

All Mermaids and Mermen are Vegan Fish

I just thought I'd point this rather obvious fact out, but, being Mers, meaning the breed of fish that we are, Mermaids and Mermen, we are among the groups of fish who are Vegan.
It seems so obvious, given our sleek builds and athletic prowess, doesn't it?
Also, since we roam the Seas doing what we all can to save our Brethren, the other Fish species, and even many Mammals who become, sadly, entangled in the humans' driftnets - aren't they meant to be universally against all plaentary laws by now?

Isn't it time for all humans to become Vegan? Don't they want our shared World to live?
Don't they care about suffering of their fellow beings?
Don't they want to breathe good air and for us to breathe good water?

Where are your religions up there in the air world?

I was telling Ocean - the human I transmit information to - the other day, via our own wavelength, that she should tell more people about The Mers, about how much we need for humans to align with us to save our planet, Sea!

Don't they all realize that ninety percent - 90 % !!! - of all the Seven Seas' Fish - OUR FAMILY AND YOURS - are gone forever!!!

It Is URGENT that we all become Vegan, Child-Free - yes, humans, you are breeding us all into extinction! -  and to do all we can to save who and what we can!

Please, please, listen to a Mermaid, even if you ignore the other humans!

Do you know what a Wraithe is?

Prayer For The Gulf of Mexico and Wildlife

I was given a copy of an email from Ingrid, a European herbalist-philosopher, who has asked us all to combine in a joint prayer, a worldwide healing "net" that we can hold over the Gulf of Mexico together many times daily, and can ask God for an immediate miracle to save lives there, and to save our environment, to change hearts and minds, and to empower all those who are helping.

This is exactly what I had begun doing, instinctively, as soon as it had happened - the explosion in the Gulf of Mexico - asking God while holding a vision in my mind of the gush diminishing into nothingness, and turning back into the clear, pale, sea green water of before.

Tears Of A Child

On a precious little heroine, Olivia Bouler, whose photo is above.

Experts tell us that there are one in every twenty-five humans who are sociopaths.
Experience lets us know that there are either more, or that many people, who at worst are easily led, choose to sleep-walk through life and to allow the sociopaths to ruin our planet.

I cannot imagine choosing to bequeath a ruined planet to our children.
OUR children.

As our planet belongs to all of us in concert - all beings, all life  - so, too, do the children of all beings, of all species.

I have written before on the rapacious greed that has fed the nefarious oil industry and those who live off corporate investments, and on how it amazes me that they can sleep at night, knowing the world that they are ruining for their own kids, grandkids, and for the children of everyone else.

The most poignant response I have seen to this epic tragedy is by a beautiful young child named Olivia, whose lovely portraits of birds she has donated in the cause of helping the innocent animals caught in the oil. In the news story, Olivia, who was then walking away with her mother and who had assumed she was finished being filming, broke down, crying, and sobbing, "The birds are so innocent! It's not their fault! They don't deserve this!"

And my heart broke and I, too, began sobbing inconsolably.
Feeling the deaths all around me, feeling helpless to stop it, has been the worst thing I have ever experienced in my life.

And seeing that young child of such a tender age suffering under the burden of tenderness for the countless beings who we've lost, or are losing, or will lose, and, despite appealing to our Creator, despite donating, and despite giving of ourselves and our time and labor...despite all, knowing that cruel and powerful people who could have stopped this much earlier were too late to act...

All of this...

Pray for little Olivia, for the Humane Society, for all the heroic volunteers now in the Gulf of Mexico, helping any way they can, and pray for the little souls who cannot understand, who cannot help themselves, and who are the victims of human greed.

Wintertime

It's Winter in half of the world.
Beautiful in some places, we Mers love the cold, being fish who can indulge in cold water exploration, and I've been to both the polar caps since I"ve last transmitted info to Ocean for this blog.
Iciness, whether in filigree patterns or in massive bergs is glorious, especially when struck by the Sunlight.
How do we enjoy the extreme cold, being slender as are all fish, and not bulky as the sea mammals are?
It's all in The Mers, Ocean's book trilogy that is largely dictated by me, since, let's face it, even surfers like Ocean and even Navy Seals do not know the first thing about our lives in the sea.
Being a sea dwellers is so different from being a land lubber that only I as a Mer could lead humans through, if not the reality of being undersea, then at least through the epic stories about our lives there. As much as Ocean has explained what being a human is like to me, I admit that I could never truly understand what it is to be an air-breathing, land dwelling mammal - nor would I want to if it meant spending even one moment as one of you!
Forgive me, but really, those old Mermaid Tales about Mers who long to be with humans and to live as them are simply ludicrous to us!
If you knew even a fraction of how lush and paradisical our lives were, you'd abandon all your old stories at once!
I suppose that your desire to live as Mers has always been so intense that your mythologies have grown to express a need to appreciate your lives on the land, since you have no real choice. Nor, of course, do I, but I do think most humans - so many of whom I've witnessed sighing and looking at the seas of the world - would adore being one of the Mers.
And not just because we can travel easily, quickly, and while having fun - yes, our freedom is the primary thing - and can visit exotic locales on our planet at will, and not just because there are so many of the Mers enjoying the ice and snow, communing with Polar Bears and being with Penguins and at the same time, so many more in tropical waters, indulging in everything fun there!
Meanwhile, my idea is to urge everyone to enjoy life wherever he or she is! It's all good!

Mers love butterflies! Don't you?

We often swim up waterways just to find grassy meadows within view of us that are visited by Butterflies!

And, sometimes, in their magical way, they'll fly over and light on our outstretched (webbed) fingers! We air dry our hands first, of course, just to be polite.

This time of year, it's a gratifying passtime - Butterfly sightings!

I've been delighting in seeing all kinds of gloriously gorgeous butterflies winging their way around, some in mighty migration, like the golden orange Monarchs, and some more localized, colorful sails lighting from flower to flower!

Please everyone, drive slowly when you see butterflies in range, and Give Butterflies a Brake!

Just, in the Northern realms of our planet, one more month of Summer.

I always get a little misty in late Summer, when I see the subtle signs of Winter's approach.

The last day of Summer, on September 21, is always a day that I personally celebrate by being as Summery as possible.

Speaking of the blues, do you remember when I'd said I was having relationship woes?

That Merman who was being too possessive? Too bestial?

Yes, I know that all Mermen, at least in your own human histories, have had the reputation for being fierce, tough on females, and so on, but really, as with your own specie, Mermen have to be considered individually.

Some are sensitive, tender, compassionate ( I mean, to females! All Mermen are saviours of all other wildlife, heroic, and so on...strong, protective), and when the protective thing in their genes gets out of proportion, well...

Anyway, I've been realy in limbo about it for a couple of years now!

He's such a wonderful guy...we have so much fun together...

I can't allow myself to be controlled, or afraid...even a little.

He says he's so in love with me that he'll kill himself if I leave him, and sometimes...he threatens to kill us both.

That's not normal.

I hope all of you human females will take care to get protected from your beaux if they, too, get too possessive, controlling, and scary.

I am taking time apart, now, to assess the situation.

He's getting help - professional help - Yes, Mers also have their needs for counseling, and spiritual advice. In this, we're similar - our two species.

Next time I'll be more "up" for you all.
