Tears Of A Child

Tears Of A Child

On a precious little heroine, Olivia Bouler, whose photo is above.

Experts tell us that there are one in every twenty-five humans who are sociopaths.
Experience lets us know that there are either more, or that many people, who at worst are easily led, choose to sleep-walk through life and to allow the sociopaths to ruin our planet.

I cannot imagine choosing to bequeath a ruined planet to our children.
OUR children.

As our planet belongs to all of us in concert - all beings, all life  - so, too, do the children of all beings, of all species.

I have written before on the rapacious greed that has fed the nefarious oil industry and those who live off corporate investments, and on how it amazes me that they can sleep at night, knowing the world that they are ruining for their own kids, grandkids, and for the children of everyone else.

The most poignant response I have seen to this epic tragedy is by a beautiful young child named Olivia, whose lovely portraits of birds she has donated in the cause of helping the innocent animals caught in the oil. In the news story, Olivia, who was then walking away with her mother and who had assumed she was finished being filming, broke down, crying, and sobbing, "The birds are so innocent! It's not their fault! They don't deserve this!"

And my heart broke and I, too, began sobbing inconsolably.
Feeling the deaths all around me, feeling helpless to stop it, has been the worst thing I have ever experienced in my life.

And seeing that young child of such a tender age suffering under the burden of tenderness for the countless beings who we've lost, or are losing, or will lose, and, despite appealing to our Creator, despite donating, and despite giving of ourselves and our time and labor...despite all, knowing that cruel and powerful people who could have stopped this much earlier were too late to act...

All of this...

Pray for little Olivia, for the Humane Society, for all the heroic volunteers now in the Gulf of Mexico, helping any way they can, and pray for the little souls who cannot understand, who cannot help themselves, and who are the victims of human greed.

Visit Olivia's help site here at the Audubon Society and please help this precious girl save the Gulf.

And please donate to the Humane Society here.

Human Overpopulation and Being Child Free

You all - all you humans - realize that there are simply far too many humans on our planet for our planet to sustain, don't you?
Have you decided to make a personal statement by your love for all life to be child free?
It's the eco thing to do, of course.
And the one thing that will actually save our planet.
We Mers have ways as easy as your own to make sure we'll always be child free - or in our case, since we're fish, of course, egg free and seed free!
It's such a nice way to live!
We also used to have an overpopulation problem under the sea. The quality of life for all life, especially for the countless new Mers born every year without enough sustenance, (due also, alas to human overpopulation, human pollution, and loss of habitat), was getting worse and worse. So we Mers convened a worldwide council, discussed the matter, and decided to put easy methods of what you would think of as vasectomies and birth control in order to get the balance back into our world.
We, as you, would be uncomfortable with abortion or in any way harming life already forming within us, so we worked together to find easy ways to stop fertility and to stop egg and seed formation instead and to make it available to every Mer.
Now we have a manageable and happy population ! You humans can too!
It's a win-win situation.
Individuals would have happier, healthier, wealthier lives, and the kids in need will find homes!
For those who feel a need to parent, there are literally millions of orphaned, unwanted, abandoned, and already starving human infants, babies, and children begging to be adopted.

Want to be green? To be eco? To be compassionate?
Then make sure to stay child free and/or adopt.
Use at least two forms of birth control.
Stay sober when dating, and preferably, date only guys who are cool enough to have had a vasectomy.
It's still easier for guys to get fixed, so urge your guy.

Quality of individual life is far superior for those who stay child free, they have much more disposable income, they're free, their relationships are happier and - did you know that the child free are in the majority?
Meaning that there are more people who are child free than those who have bred.
So - think about what you're doing, prepare for situations in which you might become pregnant, stay sober and aware, and you're being eco!
