Here are some new transmissions by The Mermaid:
Greetings to all of you on the land territories.
I'm not used to talking, (i.e., transmitting ideas pictorially to the singer, songwriter, and writer, Ocean, who then transcribes them to her fellow humans) so much, but since you are so wonderful who are involved with Ecoize in wanting to save our shared Planet, Sea, along with us Mers, I'm going to start sharing a lot more.
Please show me a little patience, since I must find ways to describe our undersea Worlds to you in ways you can more easily understand, plus sharing details about our own styles of living.
I will make this first entry rather brief, since I'm still introducing myself to you all.
And thank you so much for interpreting this for me.
My mission in speaking with you is vital to all of the Mers.
Not only have I decided to make contact out of curiosity, but I've been elected, since I'd made friends with a human who is Compassionate, (Vegan) by my group - like your villages - and all Fish hate the word "School" to describe our family groups! We're not as helpless as newborn as are you primates! - to learn more about the World Above the Water, or Territory, as we call your land world.
The reason is that since you have been more and more intrusive into our Merritory - what we call our Underwater World - and frankly, the sonar, the noise pollution, the constant bomb testing, and the pollution is life-threatening for everyone on our planet, so we must learn to find solutions together.
So, I'm here to find them.
It will take the committment to care from the Landed People, since you're the ones destroying our world.
We've long had the capacity to use machinery, as you land beings do, and to change things.
This is nothing to be proud of.
Any clever primate, like humans, can figure things like that out, given the need, just as we fish beings can. It's all in the appendages - and we, like you, have fingers and opposable thumbs, even though we have a transparent webbing between them.
We long, long ages ago figured out that the things we could create to make our own lives a bit easier were not in the long run beneficial either to us as individuals or to the group of Mers as a whole, and nothing we could make would ever benefit all the other animal groups - far from it.
We've always been close to Nature.
We prefer the Natural World the way it is.
We're here to protect it - to protect Her, Our Planet, Sea.
I know you call Her Earth, but since She's mostly water, our name for Her fits.
Planet Sea doesn't refer just to the Watery World, but to All Our Planet.
Saturday, by your reckoning. In Merritory, of course.
Since we don't have air-breathing equipment, but gills, as with all fish, my time above is very limited above sea level.
Time? We, of course, have our own measurements but we don't measure time at all.
We seldom have a need to measure anything.
The Mers take a different view of everything you landed beings do, and it's going to take a long book or series of books to find ways of explaining who we are to you.
It's essential that we understand each other, though, for the future and for our shared planet.
Starting from a cultural perspective is the best way.
By the way, do you know how we two communicate? The land being and I?
There are different senses we Mers possess, and a few of you on land have rudimentary means of using these same extra senses.
To us they're commonplace, but to you, I understand from my human contact, they're extraordinary.
I'll have to dealve into some scientific explantions here, so I'll save it for next posting.
I'm getting a bit dizzy from having to be so near the surface and the bright sunlight for so long, so I'm going to take a long dive down and get refreshed.
Good Night for now!

Good Night for now!
Someone has asked the person who translates these for the public to ask me about the Mers and the sunlight.
We tend to be deep water fish most of the time, so our eyes have to adjust to the daytime above the seas. We can only stay above in the shallow water for just so long while the sun is at its' brightest.
The night time is when the Mers do most of their shoreline swimming.
This is another reason why we Mers have been long associated with the moon, with magic and even with what you term witchcraft.
We don't need any such thing to cause things to happen, though, the way you Earth walkers do.
Our powers are more extensive just naturally.
And we don't like to cause harm.
I understand that the term "witchcraft" can mean white or black magic, but either way, we don't need magic, and yet what we do you humans would probably name as that since our ordinary gifts seem that way to you.
Since we tend to be more universal in our world view and especially since we are compassionate toward all beings equally and are vegan, we only use that type of power when we are protecting someone, like a sea turtle or a jellyfish, another Mer, and sometimes, if the human is a kind, vegan, we'll save him or her too.
Toward Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and toward Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere
I love to watch the Spring season unfold, swimming by, mainly at nighttime, since I want to remain undetected - usually, lovers or lonely human strollers by the sea who glimpse me with my head momentarily out of the water attribute my presence to a visit by a local seal or sea lion - but some who are sure they've seen a face similar to theirs tell themselves that I'm a healthy, strong human swimmer who loves moonlit dips - I watch the greenery of the Spring season when it arrives, as the tiny, baby leaves appear, and grow into glossy and rich green, and then, as the flower buds start, I notice, and then later, I swim along the shoreline and relish every year inhaling the fragrance of the land plants when their blooms are at their fullest.
Of course, the sea plants also have their flowerings, and I adore them too, and yet, the perfume of the land flowers is so intense!
And the way the breeze slightly ruffles the petals, making them stir and reveal their forms - so exquisite!
I enjoy the landed parts of our planet just as you do!
Often I get the chance to swim along in daytime too, when the rich colors of Spring beckon.
I love the fuzzy bees, with their bold stripes, and the butterflies!
I love watching all the Spring babies arrive, and often I frolic in the water with tiny seal pups, and little dolphins, and occasionally, I get to play with land babies too!
I watch as your human kids splash in the water too, as we all do, and wish all humans were kind enough to reveal ourselves to.
We love vegans, since they're absolutely compassionate to all beings.
Now comes Spring!
